In the autumn of 2022, Ali and Helen struck up a conversation. Having worked together for many years, they developed a profound mutual respect for each other's clinical expertise. They decided to join forces as they knew that they could provide an exceptional service for their patients. As a result, in March 2023, Advantage Physio was established.

With a combined 40 years of clinical experience, they are well-equipped to offer expert opinions and tailor precise treatment plans to address your specific condition.

They treat all musculoskeletal conditions from head to toe. . Ali has a special interest in spinal conditions, including sciatica, while Helen upper limb issues (shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand). Both continue to work as Advanced Practice Physiotherapists in the NHS.

Understanding that a simple exercise sheet may not suffice for many clients, they take pride in offering a comprehensive treatment approach. This approach ensures you can achieve your ultimate goals as efficiently as possible.

Ali Lightbody MCSP, HCPC

Helen has extensive experience in treating all musculoskeletal conditions, with a specialist interest in the Upper Limb, working closely with Orthopaedic Consultants at East Surrey and North Downs Hospital. Helen obtained her Post graduate Diploma from the University of Hertfordshire. She holds membership to Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and British Elbow and Shoulder Society, with training in pilates.

Helen Hingston MCSP, HCPC, MMACP, PGDip

Alison has a wealth of experience in treating all musculoskeletal conditions and has a specialist interest in Spinal pain, working closely with the Orthopaedic Consultants in the local area. Having completed an extensive number of post graduate training and masters courses, to aid her assessment and treatment, including medical imaging, Musculoskeletal Triage and Pilates.
